History

In 1983, Anne Louise Fisher, who had previously worked at Penguin and André Deutsch before joining the literary agent Gillon Aitken, was approached by the BOGG Group of four Scandinavian publishers - Bonniers, Otava, Gyldendal in Denmark and Norway - and asked to become their scout. In 1986, Anne Louise began to scout for Mondadori in Italy, following which the company, Anne Louise Fisher Associates, went on to represent publishers in fifteen countries and a film company. On Anne Louise’s retirement in 2015, the name changed to Eccles Fisher Associates, to reflect the new ownership by Catherine Eccles; we continue to expand into new territories, most recently China, making a total of eighteen countries and a film and T.V. company.
